PWIPM AT PESTWORLD 2010

We Are Excited to Announce the First Ever PWIPM Fun Run/Walk for October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We are excited to announce the first ever PWIPM Fun Run/walk - a 5K run/walk to raise money for breast cancer that will take place on Wednesday, October 20 in conjunction with PestWorld 2010.  In honor of October being breast cancer awareness month, our goal is to raise $5,000 that will go to the Susan G Komen Foundation.

The Cause

Breast cancer has impacted many of our lives in one way or another. We all have stories to share and loved ones we know have suffered or lost because of breast cancer.  However, there is hope.  As an industry we can make an impact.  We can come together for a cause and bring hope to those who need it.  Let's join together, put on our running shoes and make a difference in someone's life.

Perfect Timing and a Perfect Location

October is breast cancer awareness month and this year for PestWorld we also happen to be in Hawaii.  We are holding the fun run/walk in nearby Kapiolani Park, which has hosted many similar events and is the perfect location!  The fun run/walk begins at 6:30 a.m. and shuttle service from the Hilton Hawaiian Village will begin at 5:30 a.m.

Registration & Donations

Rally for the CureThe registration fee is $25 per person and part of the registration fee as well as any additional donations will go to the Susan G Komen Foundation.  Our goal is to raise $5,000.  All are welcome!  This isn't just for the ladies - men are encouraged to participate and you do not have to be a member of NPMA.  The registration fee enters you into the run/walk and you will also receive a PWIPM 2010 Fun Run T-shirt and gift bag. There will be a grand prize for first place!

If you are not able to participate but would like to make a donation, we have set up a separate donation page.

Strategies for Leading a Multi-Generational Workforce - Part I

Courtney Lynch, Lead Star

Veterans, Boomers, X'ers and Millenials: never before have four generations been so solidly represented in our workforce.  Despite the differences among generations, there are tremendous opportunities for leaders to achieve great results by harnessing the talents of each workforce member.  Diversity is the key for any company's sustained success. True leaders seek to identify opportunities where teams can untie over the differences represented among employees.  Participants in this session will learn more about the perspective and experiences of each generation, as well as best practices for leading teams across generations and leveraging the talent found within their organization.

10:45 a.m. - 12 p.m.
